Be the Bees: Science Learning Through Movement

In this video Dr. Kylie Peppler, Associate Professor at Indiana University and Director of the Creativity Labs, discusses the importance of embodiment, or learning through movement, in science learning. She shares an example from her BioSim project of elementary students learning about the complex systems of honeybees by role-playing with electronic puppets.

Dr. Peppler recommends providing children with playful invitations to explore the many scientific concepts and systems in the world around them.
