Researchers who study English Language Learners (ELL) specialize in a number of areas including the development and cognition of bilingual learners, reading intervention and remediation for struggling ELL readers, and overall urban and systemic reform for ELL students.

We collected questions from real educators who are looking to improve the educational experience of English learners and multilingual students in their schools. The answers to those questions, developed in partnership with Usable Knowledge at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, can provide the first steps for using research to improve ELL student outcomes.
